James Holmes (Chairman)

James Holmes is a merchant banker based in London, England, with a focus on ethical clients, innovation and job creation, including alternative energy development in Africa. He also served as the Chief Executive of the first UK company to invest in Chinese higher education, through eight colleges in China. As Principal of the Management International School of Business, London, he founded the Centre for Leadership and the Service Corps as non-profit concerns.

James’s interest in conflict resolution comes from his belief in empowering local communities to take responsibility for their futures, in the context of constructive dialogue. He firmly believes that there are many positive lessons to be learnt from the exchange of experiences of the Northern Ireland peace process with other conflict and non-conflict areas in the world.
